Manuscript Preparation Guide

A cover letter and a Manuscript Submission Form must be submitted along with the manuscript.  The letter must indicate the intended category of the submission.

The manuscript must be typed in Bangla, in single space, using 12-point Siyam Rupali or related Bangla fonts, with double space between headings and single space throughout the manuscript.  Scientific terms should be kept in English if suitable Bangla synonyms are complicated or unavailable.  The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

Title

This page should include the manuscript title in Bangla and English, name(s) of the authors(s), their affiliation(s), email address(es), corresponding author’s email address, and phone number (phone number will remain confidential and will not be published).

Abstract

This is a summary of the content of the manuscript.  This should be typed in single space and a single paragraph, with a limit of 250 words.  The Abstract should not include any citations.  An English abstract should also be submitted along with the Bangla abstract.

Key Words

Key words (a maximum of eight) should be placed under the Abstract and must be relevant to the content of the manuscript.

Introduction

This should reflect (1) an overview of the topic, (2) prior research information, (3) a research statement, (4) a rational for the research/topic and/or (5) a hypothesis or hypotheses.

Methods

This should reflect (1) the type of research conducted, (2) tools and materials used in the research, (3) methods of data collection, and (4) methods of data analysis.

Results

This section should include (1) the research findings following data analysis, (2) answers to the research questions, and (3) prove or disprove the hypothesis or hypotheses.  Appropriate tables and figures should be used to present the research findings.

Discussion and Conclusions

This section should include a restatement of the topic, reestablishment of the thesis statement, significance of results, summary of main points, and any concluding statements.
